Dog Behaviourist · Trainer · Assistance Dog Specialist

I’m Katie, a qualified dog behaviourist and trainer with over 20 years of hands-on experience.
I combine real-world insight with formal study to give you practical, effective support that works in everyday life.
Credentials matter, I hold a Diploma in Animal Management and trained with Dogs for Good, developing specialist skills with assistance dogs. Through Labrador Rescue, I’ve fostered and socialised dogs and puppies, helping them overcome behavioural challenges and prepare for future homes.
To stay at the forefront of best practice, I recently earned an Advanced Certificate in Canine Behaviour & Aggression for Professionals from the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training, delivered at The Kennel Club. I’ve supported families with everything from new puppy foundations to complex behavioural issues, and I’ve trained and shown dogs in obedience to championship level.
Real Results, Built on Real Experience.
At The Dons Dog Company, I provide expert behaviour and training support for both pet and assistance dogs. Whether you’re working through behaviour challenges or building everyday skills, I offer practical, proven, fuss‑free solutions. Every service begins with a pre‑visit questionnaire so I can understand your dog’s needs - because lasting, meaningful change comes from real experience, recognised qualifications, and a plan that works for everyday life.
